RISIBLE HUMOR: A CONSTRUCTION OF EXPECTATION AND RUPTURE

This study deals with humor in teaching Portuguese, a Brazilian variant, for foreign learners, considering that humor is part of a discursive practice marked by culture. Thus, it aims to verify the interweaving between the linguistic, the image, the cultural and the situation of use in which the laughable humor occurs. For that, it is necessary to recover knowledge about discourse as an interactional social practice, the discursive context marked by the milestones of social cognitions, the culture printed and expressed in the language, the laughable humor related to specific, individual and social knowledge, present in the expressions polysemous lexicals. The results point to the importance of considering, in language-culture teaching, the possible relationships between image and lexical expressions to explain the multiple and polysemic values hat provoke laughter among Brazilians.
