The Bakhtin Circle and himself did not specifically write about cinema, but their theories can be applied to this art. He saw language as a social phenomenon and emphasized the importance of dialogue and interaction between different voices and perspectives. In the context of cinema, this means that the film is a collective work involving many different voices and perspectives, including those of directors, screenwriters, actors and viewers.
