Given the existence of a vast body of literature that discusses social movements and their impact on the development of curriculum practices in our society, this interview with Dr. Antônio Folquito Verona, one of the creators of the Popular Education Forum (FREPOP), helps readers to understand the context and challenges that need to be overcome in order to promote an emancipatory education in today's global society, particularly in the Youth and Adult Education teaching mode.
